I don’t know about y’all but this summer sunshine has been calling our names! We have been doing the usual summer fun things, like the pool, the park, and the movies, but I wanted to do something a little different to mix things up a little.
For this toddler approved activity you simply need cornstarch, water, and food coloring.
To make the sidewalk paint you mix cornstarch and water in equal parts, then add a few drops of your favorite colors.
*Quick tip* Make more than you think you will use.
I made what I thought was A LOT of paint, but we ran out really quick. Thankfully it is so easy to make that I just whipped us up some more but next time I will be prepared!
The kids (and mom!) really loved this activity. What is so neat about this paint is that when it dries it looks just like sidewalk chalk and rinses off just as easily! Older clothes are a must because this was MESSY! It did stain a little but came out by the next day, so definitely play prepared.
And if your kids are anything like mine be prepared to be painted. They painted their feet, my feet, their hair, my hair, and the dog!
Thankfully Molly was a great sport about it! 🙂
If y’all give this a try I’d love to see how messy your kids get!
Until next time!
