On the Agenda Today:
*Preschool Prep: Meet the Colors
*Color matching game
First thing we did today was watch our Meet the Colors video. This is probably the weakest area for Jaxson and Jayleigh, so we need to work on it a little more.
After the video, we read our Bible story. We are still learning about Jesus feeding the 5,000. We talked about the original 2 fishes and 5 loaves and how Jesus used those to feed so many people and how we should be thankful for how God provides for us.
The next activity was a color matching game. For this game I simply grabbed a few sheets of colored paper and cut out a few basic shapes. I handed the kids some pom poms and had them lay the pom pom on the correct color. We talked about the color and shapes that we saw. Jayleigh did well on this, but it took Jaxson a few tries to catch on.
Our final activity was a fun one because we played some bowling! I simply took 6 solo cups and stacked them in a pyramid shape. Then the kids rolled the ball and knocked them over. When we went to pick them up and reset them we also counted how many were knocked over. After a few times Jaxson was even able to stack them back by himself!
What I Learned Today:
We definitely need some work with our color recognition. I need to incorporate descriptions into everyday conversations!
