On the Agenda Today:
*Preschool Prep: Meet the Numbers
*Finding the letter “A”
*Recognizing numbers 1-10
We started our day out with our Meet the Numbers DVD. After watching our daily video, we learned more about how Jesus healed the 10 lepers. We talked about how we should say thank you when someone does something nice for us like the 1 leper did. Then we practiced our memory verse for the month, which is “Give thanks to God”.
After our story, we grabbed some little board books and looked for words that had the letter “A” in them. Once they found a word I told them what sound the “A” made in that word and had them repeat it with me. They enjoyed this and did fairly well at finding the letter.
For our final activity, I revisited a glue activity. The first time didn’t go very that great, so I was anxious to see how they handled it now. This activity was a little more timely to set up, but the kids loved it! I cut 10 yellow stars and wrote the number 1-10 on each. Then I wrote the numbers 1-10 on a sheet of paper. They practiced at first by just laying the stars on the correct number. They were saying each number, too! *Yay!*
After I saw how well they did just laying the stars on the right number, I decided to let them glue their stars on. I showed them how to put glue on one of them and then they had it!
I am one proud Mama because they did all of them all by themselves!
What I Learned Today:
I am so thankful for my Cricut! I hate cutting things out and my Cricut takes care of that for me!
