On the Agenda Today:
*Preschool Prep: Meet the Letters
*Finding words that start with “A”
*”Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
We started our school day with the Preschool Prep video, Meet the Letters. And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the only smooth part of this day! The terrible twos are hitting Jayleigh HARD! School today took a lot of effort and breaks with what felt like very little success.
After we watched our video, we read our Bible story for the week. This week’s story is about Jesus and the 10 lepers. We learned about how Jesus healed the 10 lepers, yet only 1 thanked Him. So we will be learning more about being thankful this week!
Next we sat down and flipped through some books and found words that started with the letter “A” and talked about the sounds “A” makes. Jaxson really enjoyed this and Jayleigh did at first. They both repeated the “A” sounds after me each time and did well picking out the words that started with the letter.
Then I got out a few flash cards. Once again, Jaxson was all over this activity! He loves pointing out letters! And as you can see from Jayleigh’s face, I was starting to lose her.
Our final activity for the day was singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. This started out horribly.
(Jayleigh must have HATED my singing!)
But after singing it a few times they got more into it. They aren’t quite old enough to really repeat me, but they did say twinkle twinkle over and over.
What I Learned Today:
The terrible twos are for the birds!!
