This week I chose a fun activity that is best done outside, which is great since the weather has been so nice down here for us this week! This is a really fun activity that teaches about how objects react and color recognition. It is a simple set up. Grab a tray and put some baking soda in it. Then mix some food coloring and vinegar in a separate glass. Finally give the kids a syringe or dropper.
Here’s an exciting Toddler Approved Activity! It is fun for everyone 🙂
To play you let the kids suction up some of the colored vinegar and drop it on the baking soda. The kids loved making the tray fizz and seeing the color appear!
This is a little messy, so I would recommend doing this outside with older clothes on since the food coloring can discolor clothing.
Here’s a quick video of the fun in action!
Hope y’all have fun with this activity!
